WorkLocally provides an online platform that connects people who need jobs completed (“Job Posters”) with individuals or businesses willing to perform those jobs (“Job Seekers”).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the WorkLocally platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the WorkLocally platform.

3. Nature of the WorkLocally Platform

WorkLocally is a marketplace platform.

We provide technology that allows Job Posters to publish jobs and Job Seekers to submit quotes or contact Job Posters regarding those jobs.

WorkLocally:
  • does not employ Job Seekers
  • does not act as an employment agency
  • does not supervise work carried out
  • is not a party to contracts between users
Any agreement for work is made directly between the Job Poster and the Job Seeker.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the platform, you must register an account.

You agree to:
  • provide accurate information
  • keep your login details secure
  • not share your account with others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where inaccurate or misleading information is provided.

5. Membership Tiers

WorkLocally may offer optional membership tiers such as Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Membership tiers may provide different functionality and quoting limits.

Membership fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Quotes and Job Agreements

Job Seekers may submit quotes for jobs posted on the platform.

If a Job Poster accepts a quote, a contract is formed directly between the Job Poster and the Job Seeker.

WorkLocally is not responsible for:
  • payment between users
  • the quality of work performed
  • disputes between users
  • cancellations or delays.

7. Direct Callback Feature

Certain jobs may allow Job Seekers to contact Job Posters directly using tokens or other platform mechanisms.

Purchasing tokens or accessing contact information does not guarantee that work will be awarded.

8. Verification

WorkLocally may offer identity verification for certain membership tiers.

Verification may require submission of identification documents or company information.

Verification helps improve trust but does not guarantee the identity, reliability, or quality of any user.

9. Payments

Payments for work are agreed directly between Job Posters and Job Seekers.

WorkLocally does not process payments between users unless explicitly stated on the platform.

10. User Conduct

Users must not:
  • post illegal or fraudulent jobs
  • misrepresent qualifications or identity
  • harass or abuse other users
  • attempt to bypass platform systems in ways that undermine the service
  • upload malicious software or harmful content

11. Safety

Users are responsible for ensuring their own safety when arranging or performing jobs.

If you feel unsafe or believe someone is in danger, you should contact emergency services.

12. Limitation of Liability

WorkLocally provides the platform "as is".

We do not guarantee:
  • that jobs will be posted
  • that work will be obtained
  • that users will fulfil their obligations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid to us for membership during the previous 12 months.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify WorkLocally against claims arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or disputes between users.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:
  • these Terms are breached
  • fraudulent activity is suspected
  • it is necessary to protect other users or the platform.

15. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
